Lembeh: Hairy Frogfish

This bizarre looking creature is my favourite frogfish. The pectoral fins of frogfishes are like limbs with an elbow joint, allowing them to walk across the sea floor. Also known as 'anglerfish', their first dorsal spine resembles an angler's line with a lure at the end, usually hung near the mouth to attract prey which is swallowed whole.
