Lembeh: Fishes
Lembeh is home to many bottom dwellers and juvenile fishes but lacks pelagic species. Even the few coral reef areas have much fewer numbers and species of fish compared to other reef areas like Redang.
Banggai cardinalfish, Nudi Falls. This fish is often seen in Lembeh and is endemic to this area. It is a popular aquarium fish because of its beautiful fins.
Juvenile batfish, Pantai Perigi. The young batfish has long beautiful fins which disappears as it matures.
