Lembeh: Rhinopias

Among the most bizarre creatures in Lembeh is the Rhinopias, which belongs to the scorpionfish family. This individual was easily spotted at Air Perang 2, its colours contrasting loudly with the black sand. If ever there was an extra-terrestrial lifeform, this weird looking purple fish would be the closest thing to E.T.

Rhinopias flopping from side to side when walking, like a drunken fish.

It does look a little like a normal scorpionfish.

From this angle, looks more like a grumpy old man with a moustache!
