Anilao, Philippines, is widely regarded as the birthplace of diving in the Philippines and is an underwater macro photographer's paradise, with muck dive sites and critters that rival those found at Lembeh Straits, Indonesia. It is also sometimes called the 'nudibranch capital of the world'. Other than muck dives, Anilao also offers pristine and beautiful coral reefs and walls at dive sites around Maricaban island.
